Do you work with the child alone or with the family?+
Both are possible. Parents are always involved; whether a session is with the child, the parents or together depends on the child’s age and what is helping.
What will you tell me about what my child says?+
We agree this with you at the start. The aim is that your child can speak freely while you are kept informed in a way that does not break their trust.
Can sessions be in my family’s language?+
We work in English and German. Other languages depend on the therapist and are confirmed when you get in touch.
Is it covered by statutory health insurance (gesetzliche Krankenkasse)?+
Generally no. Therapy in this private practice is not covered by German statutory health insurance. In very rare exceptional cases, public insurers may reimburse through the Kostenerstattungsverfahren; this depends entirely on the insurer and must be approved in advance. Private insurance and supplementary plans may reimburse, and terms vary by contract, so please check with your insurer before booking.
Do you work with the school?+
When it would help, and only with your agreement.
How many sessions will my child need?+
There is no fixed number, and we do not want to guess before we have met you. We agree on a direction at the start and review it together as we go.
